“Hi!! I’m Kaitlyn, the owner and founder of Tanks Top K9s. I grew up in a small town called Eagle River and now my fiancé and 2 beautiful babies have been in Lodi for about 4 years now!
With a decade in the dog industry between boarding/daycare and five years specifically focused on training, I’m a certified obedience trainer who specializes in behavior modification. I’m also currently taking a master’s in aggression course, diving deeper into understanding canine behavior.
My training philosophy is rooted in balance! I believe in using training tools while pairing positive reinforcement with meaningful consequences. This approach not only helps dogs learn effectively but also strengthens the bond between them and their owners!
My passion for dogs was always there growing up but my real journey with dogs began when I was 15 and adopted Jaeger, my pit bull and the face of my company logo! He is my best friend and has truly been such a staple in my life and career. Together, we faced challenges with heavy reactivity and dog aggression. Navigating the stigma surrounding his breed fueled my passion for helping misunderstood and reactive dogs to live their best life!
